Chapter One | Poetry

Ember starts her third year of college with high hopes even though she knows she won't be seeing any of her friends this year. Many of them have transferred to other colleges and universities, which is a little stressful. Making friends isn't easy for Ember especially since she's shy and a bit of a loner. But when her poetry professor takes a liking towards her, things get way more complicated. His actions are out of friendship. He has no idea that his kindness could awaken something so sweet, yet so dangerous inside of Ember's heart.
