Kachina Citlali is a Native American girl who's entire world is coming to an end. Called 'Kach' and 'Laly', she is the only surviving child in her family after a fire penetrated her small village. Now her mother and father have decided to move her and the remaining stragglers of the village to Sumter, South Carolina.
This is a story, told by journal entries, of how one girl experiences the American Civil War firsthand. Follow Kach across the country, from the West to East, and see how she deals with the pressure of choosing a side for the greatest, bloodiest war in American history.
