Author's Note & Reception

Alexander "Alex" Swolley, fresh out of high school, joins the Army. He wants to live up to the slogan, "Be all you can be.". So, he ends up in Georgia to train to be airborne ranger infantry. He goes through infantry, ranger, and airborne/air assault school like it was a walk in the fucking park.
Now, fate, has a different plan. A colonel from the SF branch 3rd group (airborne) and offers him and a few others like him in his unit a first-class ticket to battle. Will he take it, or will he stay on his intended course? Let's find out together!
