Maddy was dead and gone. But that didn't mean he could love Danielle. It would be betraying Maddy, and Maddy was the love of Liam's life. They were a very affectionate couple, they could see themselves with kids in a few years, even. But all of that was ruined the moment Maddy died. Now, about half a year later, Liam still can't move on. Arianna tries to set him up with Danielle, but even though he feels a slight attraction to her, he pushes her away.
