Kassim grew up in the slums of Balbadd. He had lost everything while the rich were given whatever they wanted. He believed the rich were the true scum of the world. So he decided to create the Fog Troupe with his childhood friend, Alibaba, to steal from the rich and give to the poor. He was happy to kill who got in his way, anything to achieve his goal. One night, he and the Fog Troupe snuck into the bedroom, a high class noble. He thought it was the master's room and was prepared to kill. Instead of seeing a fat old man with a woman very young clung to him, Kassim found a beautiful maiden wearing only a thin robe. He realized he had met this woman before. Many years ago, a young noble girl named Rose protected him from her fathers' whip. She was the first genuinely kind noble girl he met. Since he left, he hasn't been able to get her off his mind. She was tormenting his every thought throughout the day, with the image of a beautiful maiden in only a thin robe, welcoming him with a smile. He vowed that she would become his bride, no matter the consequences.
