Prologue

Kylee has been on the run for the last year and a half, she has 4 more months until she turns eighteen. Her step-father had been physically abusing her for 4 years after her mom ran out on him leaving her behind 6 months after they were married. Kylee has been working under the table at local shops to keep her off the streets and moves every couple of months because her crazy stepfather gets close to finding exactly where she is. She finally runs all the way across the country and settles into a tiny town called Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Lyle is what most people call the player of the players in his little town he thinks that it is time to move on with his life and find somebody to try and settle down, little does he know just one bump in with Kylee and he's done for, he doesn't know why or understand why he has this immediate attraction, possessivness, and his need to keep her safe. The real question is can he though??
