Adelaide had an almost perfect life until Herzog Reikhoff captured her father's castle. She quickly found herself banished to a small faraway village in the woods. There, she met two sisters, Emnilda and Evonna. Evonna, however had only a few months to live, and with no healer, her chances were slim. Suddenly, Adelaide was called back to the castle.
