"Why are you here?" Curiosity was getting the better of me. "Ah, now that's the magic question. One that I am happy to answer for you. Tell me, Delaney, is there something you want?" I narrowed my gaze, shaking my head, not sure what he meant by that. "I don't understand what you mean. There are a lot of things I want, so is that a trick question, so you can see if I give the right answer?" I glanced at him. He laughed, a loud, booming laugh, and I was certain the ground vibrated under my feet. "No Laney, it's not a trick question. There is no right or wrong answer. I'm here to grant you a wish, for anything you want." Now I was positive I was dreaming. "There's a catch, though." He said matter-of-factly. There it was. There's always a catch. "Delaney, remember, I'm God. I already know what you want." I didn't even know what I wanted. "What's the catch?" I mumbled, not sure I really wanted to know. "You only get 30 days.
