Charlie later finds out that she has been diagnosed with a disease called type 1 diabetes. After six years of being away, Charlie's mom finally allows her to move back and live with her sister as she finishes her senior year. She finds out that a lot of things have changed over the years, and by things we mean people. Her friends ignore her, including Colin.
