Set in 2009 Boston, Massachusetts... following the lives of students hit by the recession beginning in 2008. Their woes, from silver spoon to stainless spoon building their resilience and creativity. Hiding beneath their happy faces are insecurities while helping each other go through the transition of life from student life to the real world. Three geeky and academic best friends had their fates changed when Rachel started dating the basketball star Xander, attracting so much envy from other women in campus whilst fighting her distraction of the economic squeeze. Things got awkward between Rachel and Steve who for years silently had eye for each other, though it made Steve more confident as a person and Lara tried to calm both down and concentrate on their work especially as recession era graduating students drama is the least they need. Student and faculty life at Brandt University is not only as glamorous as their buildings covered in ivies and their new glass buildings it also has full of love, hate, sabotage, drama, laughter and tears especially among the graduating students awaiting for concrete prospects of their degree outcomes. True friendships are found within its corridors, dormitories, classrooms and cafes but so do heartaches, gossips and reckless competition.
