Description
A cry from the rocks below stops a young woman from jumping to her death after losing her husband to the sea. Hurrying to the beach, Coraline finds a child with golden eyes and a hollow pearl. She believes the boy is a gift from the water god, Merrik, and takes the child as her own. She names him Mazin to honor her late husband and the great god of the sea. But something isn't normal about this child. Whenever he cries, thunderstorms appear in once clear skies. When Mazin is scared, thunder cracks and the wind picks up. Coraline loves her son, nonetheless and she is determined to raise Mazin to be like any other boy. A fisherman of the sea and a man worthy of one day captaining one of his Uncle's fishing boats.
