Prolouge

I sat on top of a glass and below was nothing but an empty darkness; I never moved in fear of falling. But that didn't matter it shattered anyways and down I went; I wanted to scream and beg for help but my voice was gone. I watch the last bit of light disappear so I dropped and there I stayed waiting for death to arrive and take me away. Please take me away.

Melody lives in the darkness where she sits and hides herself from the rest of the world. She sits there and waits for someone to shine a ray a light, to take her away from the things hiding in the shadows. And a light does shine and reaching for her are two pair of hands wanting to pull her out. Who will she choose, which hand will she place her trust on?
