Chase Darling is a total mamas boy, three years after his father passed from stage four lung cancer, his mom was finally able to move on.

And Chase, who loves his mom to the point of doing anything and putting up with anything to keep her happy, does just that.

His recent step father is abusive, he hates Chase for two reasons

One, because of Chase's sexuality, he's into guys and has no desire to hide the fact, since his mom knows and accepts it, he has no reason to hide who he is.

Two, because of Chase's personality, he's severely sarcastic and has a mouth that runs on its own. He'll say what he wants even during one of the daily punching bag sessions his school time bullies and his step father have.
