Phor Cartier is the smartest person in his small high school, smart enough to earn a scholarship to attend one of the most precious schools in his city, Westmoore Prep. Determined to get his family out of the hood, Phor competes in a battle to win an award that not only grants a spot at an Ivy Leauge College but thousands of dollars for all the student's achievements. The only problem is that there are two awards and hundreds of rivaling students.

When Camila Sosaa is found dead on school property, police start to question her relations with other students in order to find her killer.
