Thirteen-year-old Kenneth Masons is a foster child, forced to stay with two people that aren't fit to care for a child. Thy beat him, verbally abuse him, force him to do things that could hurt him. It got to the point where Keith couldn't take it anymore.

The boy began to hurt himself. Carving names that they would call him into his arms. One night, he was forced out into the rain. Just as he was about to finish himself off, a young woman came to his aid.
