Lost in Space

I loaded into the shuttle once more and a voice came over the intercom and said, “Shuttle launches in thirty seconds.” I quickly took my seat and a voice from behind me said “Lucky timing, Kate,” but I was too busy to listen. The wheels in my head were turning. Something didn’t feel right. But I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
