The clouds are sliding by
shielding away
the light's golden ray,
I reach up touching my finger tips
to the white and rainy shapes
wishing to push them away.

waiting until I can see the sun again.

When the clouding
passes on through,
I open my eyes
seeing clear, blue skies
and rainbow reflections
Beautiful, I say.
That there is still light able
to shine my way.
