When a jinn dragged Glasgow science teacher, Tavish MacBruce, to a Scotland where dragons and unicorns are real, he took on the role of a wizard. After a princess is murdered, he's asked to be a detective. When he finds a second body, he realizes it'll take more than a knowledge of BBC crime shows and the know-how to make a crab apple battery if he wants to survive.
