Description
The patients family has finally made a decision after visiting them and it was her job to get the job done no matter how much she dislikes it. As she walk down the hallway the familiar felling of dread and guilt makes her stomach queasy. As she stops at the patients door she grabs the doorknob taking deep breaths, stalling before she has to do what she truly despises. She puts on her best smile just in case the patient's awake. Seeing they're not she lets her fake smile drop. She didn't know which one she hates the most, them being awake or them sleeping. She'd have to go with when they're asleep. When their eyes pop open, and look around in panic, she feels even more guilty. With quite steps the walks to the side of the patients bed. Her hands shake a she gets ready to kill yet another person. Carefully she pulls out the breathing tube trying to not wake the patient, but they always wake up. Their eyes pop open in panic and look around until they land on her and her hand holding the breathing tube. Understanding tears fills their eyes and slowly falls down their cheeks. The only sound in the room is the patients shallow gasps and the fast beeping of the heart monitor. In what seems like forever they finally stop breathing and the machine lets out a long beeping sound, indicating the patients death. With a heavy chest she walked out the room filled with even more regret and self-hate. Only then when she was alone in the single bathroom did she let her tears and body shaking sobs loose.
