I put my finger to her lips and pulled her close. She cried into my chest.

I felt electricity as we touched.

She pulled back a bit and looked into my eyes.

"You don't understand what it feels like to be alone in the world, Ross."

"You aren't alone, you have me."

I put my hands on her tearstained cheeks and used my thumbs to wipe her rapidly falling tears.

"I can't imagine what you're going through, but I can help you through it."

She reached up, putting her left hand on top of my right.

I leaned in closer, my lips now inches from hers.

We kissed.
