Grayson and Ethan Dolan are twins. One of them gets kicked out of school so they have to leave their hometown, New Jersey, and live together, by themselves at Los Angeles. There they will meet another pair of twins, the Merrells. Veronica is the bossiest and famous one. She has a lot of friends and dates the captain of the football team, Aaron Burriss. Vanessa is more of a loner girl. She has only best friend, Alex Burriss, who is Aaron's younger brother.

What will happen when the Dolans meet the Merrells? Will they fall for each other or cause even bigger problems to each other's lives?
