Chapter I:

The struggle to survive is serious, Lyric is a 17 year old girl. She has a mom that loves her, cares for her, and a little brother Lyric will die for. Lyric may not have nice clothes, and shoes, but she is more than that, she is thankful for whatever she has. But then a tragic happens, lyric's mom is found dead, in an alley on her way from work. Lyric is left alone, her and a 9 year old boy, struggling and poor.
