Alex is just another kid in foster care, except when she's sleeping she can see her dead parents who she never met because they died when she was just two. She can't talk to them...yet. When she's 11 she breaks her werewolf curse, and she finds her way to Mystic Falls and to the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. It's here that she meets her cousins Josie Saltzman, Lizzie Saltzman, and Hope Mikaelson, and she also learns how to control her werewolf side along with her siphoning abilities.
