Chapter 1- The Weapon

A girl ripped away from her family at a young age is used for her special gift. After years of trauma , she is left with the only resemblance of her humanity, a name given to her by the company that kidnapped her--Ember.
When enough is enough, she takes back her life and leaves the company that mistreats her.
In the process of self-preservation, she finds an earthly connection, which helps to remind her of her past life.
When things seem on track, her former captives come knocking on her door, demanding her return home, and Ember decides to fight back. How far will she take it? Will she have to become who she despises to win back her freedom?
