Rian Winsom's parents take in foster children, run-aways, and kids the system has simply failed. It can be hard to see that you, yourself are in trouble when everyone around you is doing so much worse. When doing what is best for yourself means doing nothing for those you care about, it's easy for things to go wrong.

Rian wants to help those she loves but she doesn't know how and the more she tries the further she's pulled into a world of drugs and danger. When things seem hopeless, Rian meets Jess, a beautiful stranger who seems bent on keeping her away from the danger that has a hold on her friend. Can this mysterious stranger help Rian find her way out of danger or is he just pulling her in deeper?
