"I would like to hire you, Michael" Tommy said "But?" Michael questioned "Polly made me promise that you would be dealing with only the legitimate business of Shelby Company Limited" Tommy said, Michael nodded "I already have an accountant and she is good at her job. She's been working for me since she was thirteen. I believe that there is a lot that she can teach you" Tommy said "Does that mean I got the job?" Michael questioned "Of course. You're family" Tommy said "Thank you" Michael smiled "Don't thank me yet, you haven't met Lydia" Tommy smirked, standing up from his chair "Every person who has had this job has quit within a week" Tommy said, Michael stood up from his chair "She made them quit?" Michael questioned "Lydia has never been the most personable. If she doesn't like you, you won't be around for long" Tommy said, leading Michael out of his office and down the hallway "This is where you'll work" Tommy said, stopping outside of an office. He knocked on the door "Come in" A soft voice called, Tommy opened the door, a woman sat at one of the desks. Her dark brown hair was pinned atop her head, her glasses sliding down her nose as she scribbled down notes on a piece of paper "Lydia" Tommy called, she looked up from her work "This is Michael. He will be taking the accountant job" Tommy said, Lydia nodded "I need you to get his signature on the employment forms, then he can get started" Tommy said "Of course" Lydia smiled, Tommy nodded and walked off. Lydia stood up from her desk, stepping over to the filing cabinet. Michael watched her as she flicked through the different papers. She pulled out a few sheets of paper before sitting back down "You won't last" She said, filling out the paperwork "What?" Michael questioned "I said you won't last. I am your supervisor and I will not spare your feelings because Thomas is your cousin" Lydia said, placing the papers down on the opposite side of the desk with a pen "Sign on the dotted lines, Mister Gray" She said.
