I was on the brink of 18. I had good friends, a very best friend, and a boyfriend of 2 years. That along with great academic achievements made the future seem simple and exciting. I was exactly where I needed to be, or so I thought. The future looked well paved out, until suspense and murder wrecked our little county, and I was left to be the only one with somewhat of the truth. I remember telling myself the night I looked in his cousin Nick's dark brown eyes as we ducked behind a shed, feverishly catching our breathes. We'd figure this out and demand justice until we no longer could. I still don't know exactly what compelled me to take it all on myself and never let it go, but I'd like to believe it was fate. The universe knew it was time the dark secrets of this little town came to light. The betrayal, the affairs, and the romance we uncover along the way is something you can hardly put into words. To this day I have hard time believing things I've seen with my own eyes. Some how it was the worst, yet best year of my life. One thing is: I never felt so fearless.
