Description
In a world where the dead has risen to eat the living, groups of people ban together just to survive. People who never knew each other, and might have never otherwise met, live and work together for their safety. Groups clash, tables turn, only a few people were made for how things are now. When it came down to it, the people that thrived surviving together, did so because they put their differences aside. They did so not because they had to, but because they became family. But in the end, that bond that we make with the people around us either makes us or breaks us. We either survive to keep them alive, or they become our greatest weekness, and our ultimate downfall. Most people don't intend on growing that bond. Something that strong has the potential to last a lifetime. It's not something we plan, one day one person could hate another. Then later on, they could be inseparable. It just happens. The world the way it is now, no one can survive alone. At least, not for long. There are those who would argue that you never could survive alone. Kayla didn't have the best childhood. The way the world is now isn't far from the way she was brought up. A world where shit technically hadn't hit the fan quite yet. But was her own personal hell. In a broken home, with just her twin brother and her father. The only human interaction she had outside of her demented father and twin brother was completely accidental. She was wondering out in the woods one day, and stumbled upon someone. He was lost, confused. When she found him he seemed weary of her, declining her offers for help. But she persisted. He eventually found his way back home But to her surprise, he came back and visited her multiple times, became the only friend she had. Until one day, he just stopped showing up. But what happens when the world ends, and this same person finds her just when her life was about to come to an end?
