When news breaks that the once-respectable Viscount of Emley has been charged with the murder of his wife, none other than Mr. Philip Brawn, a highly reputable lawyer, is hired to defend him in court. Whether he is sure of his client's innocence or not, Mr. Brawn wins the case, and Viscount Styles is set free.
