The spirits have always been around. Even before quirks, they lingered in the shadows. Their line of sacred blood survived in the most unheard of places. From the river spirits in the river beds, to the moon spirits that roamed in the night. Once the age of quirks arose, the spirits were finally able to live freely around humans.
