Part one, Chapter 1

Simon came out to his parents as gay when he was 13. They thought it would just be a phase...until he kissed a guy four years later. Then his dad, in a drunken rage, disowns him and throws him out the house. He takes only the clothes on his back with him to his god parent's house up in the city. Simon faces many things, mostly from being from Alabama. His only escape is his newfound friendship with Milan, the silent boy in the back of the class. They face everything together.
Until Milan is kidnapped.
