Urdin Husniris of House Hospodia-having adopted soldiering as a way of life-had nevertheless grumbled to his brother-superior Imran when tasked to make forays onto lands north of the Sarsan Strait, held as they were by mature but misdirected legions of the Izurian Empire. All said and done, he set out and carved the Izurians out of their own lands' annals of history, establishing what would prove to be House Hospodia's westernmost bulwark. Two more years passed (with as many hook-ups) ere Urdin was quite suddenly entrusted with the care of the last of his brother's living legacy, in the persons of Imran's widowed wife and sole son-beached onto his outpost's shores alongside so many other refugees. By mutual consent, said outpost had by then been transformed into the Hospodian Amirate. Urdin the Raider had made way for Urdin the Amir. At present, nineteen years on, Urdin had to contend not only with external occurrences but also the exploits and misadventures of his children, among whom were astute Prince Mustafa, temperate Prince Rashid, and sharp-tongued Princess Azalea.
