Description
Ridgewood's Black Market is home to many criminals and not all of them are as bad as their occupations suggest. A caring thief, an assassin that can no longer kill, and a rebel leader that wants nothing more than to bring peace are just a few of these exceptions. When one of the Market's thieves decides to steal the Queen's crown in response to the brutal Winter taxes, her life changes for the worse. Gwendolyn spends the next year hiding from the Queen's wrath, and just when she thinks she's safe again, something goes wrong. A mercenary targets her, though her life is spared at the expense of her brother's injury. In search of a way to escape this hard life, she accepts a heist with a new partner in crime and searches for the infamous Red Gauntlet. As her story progresses, she can't help but wonder what the Gauntlet truly means to the Ruler of Ridgewood. Has she stolen another useless trinket, or is there something magical about this object?
