Prologue

Growing up in an verbally and physically abusive home, Allura saw no hope for a better life. Dreams of finding someone to rescue her from the horrible world she lived in looked hopeless; until one day her mom had enough and decided it was time for them to get away from the horrific life they had.

Moving to a new location sent a breath of fresh air to Allura's lungs, but a small part of her still lived in fear of what was to come.
