When high school royalty Hayley loses an editorial contest, she is convinced that it's because of her social status and gender. With the help of her brother Jack, Hayley decides to pose as an average male student and transfers schools in attempt to prove her point. With her plan in motion, Hayley, under the name of Hayden, becomes well liked. So much so, that she makes friends quite easily - maybe too easily. Changing identities for a social experiment makes things difficult when Hayley falls for someone new.
