The first time Dallas met Carlisle Cullen, their encounter had been a short, violent thing.

Carlisle had led a troupe of humans into the sewers to kill Dallas and, in turn, Dallas had slaughtered them all. All except one - all except Carlisle, who had lived to tell the tale with a bite mark on his throat to show for it.
