After the death of her brother, Miller, in Afghanistan, Callie Monroe retreats to her hometown to bury her brother. Callie did everything she could to escape her small town life in West Texas, so when she has to temporarily leave her very successful music career to stay and help settle her brother's estate, she is ultimately dissatisfied. While she's staying in little Bennings, TX, she runs into many people from her past including an ex-boyfriend and her brother's best friend, whom she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.
