On the door, there was a message, in blood. It says: Dear My Love, You didn't get rid of your toy, so I will. I locked you in here, so you couldn't interfere with my plans. I love you, Your one and only I broke down. It was the end. I was going to lose Ryder. I felt something in my back pocket. It was my phone. I could call Ryder and tell him what was going on. I quickly dialed his cell. It rang once then it went to voicemail. Ryder declined my call. The person was probably already there. A second later I got a text from Ryder. I quickly opened it before my phone died. There was an audio message. I hesitantly listened to it. I heard a scream... Ryder... Ryder was dying. I sank to the floor. Burying my face in my hands and pulling my knees up to my chest. I cried. I smashed my phone. I heard a creaking noise above me. I looked up and a huge stack of books came tumbling down straight on my head. I screamed and tried to move out of the way, but gravity was faster and I blacked out. * * * Elena is your average girl. She's nothing special. Like most people, she wanted to have the best senior year of her life with her best friend Molly. That all went according to plan until she met Ryder Nightroad.
