Prologue

For nearly sixteen years, Ben has lived his life as a slave. He can't remember his life outside of the school, and pain is all he knows. Kidnapped as a young boy from his orphanage, Ben is forced to work for his sadistic master and mistress, desperate to avoid harsh punishment that is often granted for no reason. Abused and alone, Ben longs for a world free from slavery and terror, but fear of the world outside makes him question which life would truly be better. Ben turns to God for guidance in his decisions, the only sure thing in his life, trying to find peace in the midst of his torture. His life has been a living hell for so long, it's hard for him to believe that anything different might happen, but everything changes when he unexpectedly finds his Faith.
