Felicity is of mortal descent, a young woman trapped by an abusive partner and an overbearing father. Alone and afraid, Felicity seeks refuge in her Dreamworld, a place she has visited whilst asleep since she was a child. Felicity believes her safe haven to be part of her imagination, but when she is offered freedom from her mortal life in exchange for a favor by a familiar stranger, she finds it is anything but as she is launched into the middle of a revolution against a maniacal queen. In a realm ripe with magic, Felicity discovers not only her own identity, but also learns that perhaps her mortal soul plays a larger part in the chain of events to come, and that the man she has forged an impossible connection with could bring about the end of everything she holds dear.
