Author's Note

In a world forsaken by gods all life is lost. Veins of barren land are filled with water muddier than death itself and blessing of the sun is long gone, alive only in memories of those who have lived long enough to witness the end in all its misery. Relentlessly pyre of existence is snuffed out, leaving only faint smoke behind. And yet despite heaven's judgment smoldering embers didn't give up. They set ablaze once more, brighter than even before. But such feat couldn't be achieved without sacrificing something in exchange. Was the price they had to pay for such miracle even worth it?
