My name is Elaine Young. It was Harper before. I am fifteen years old. I accidentally killed my family when we came home from a family trip and I blame myself. It was dark out and raining then I spun out of control and ran into a semi truck and crashed. I was the only survivor. A few months later, my idol, Adam Young, hears about what happened and decides to adopt me since I was living with my best friend and her family who decided to take care of me for a few months. Will I be able to except this new life with a guy that I am supposed to call 'dad' and except an unfamiliar town? Or will Adam make a huge mistake by adopting me?
