The kingdom of Eterithien has been shrouded in darkness, since the ascension of Kaedin Macros, to the throne following the Golden War. The Auvaray family lies dead along with the hope of their beloved kingdom. But, even in darkness, there is light, and as the dead resurface one thing is certain: the world will never be the same.
