Countries collapse one by one, though those that remain fight a futile war over the scraps of oil and gas that have gone unused. Doomed countries use drones to fight, though they do not last long. Those with a chance use Artificial Intelligence. But only one uses GECOs- Genetically Engineered Cybernetic Organisms. Modelled after prehistoric life forms of the past, they are just as efficient as any of the A.I. developed in other countries. They are used in agriculture, law enforcement, war, anything.
