The Scavenger Village Part 1

This is a short story fan fiction that our English teacher had us write. Now if we publish it, we get 2 points extra credit. I already have an account so...YAY! This story takes place between the first Wings of Fire book, the dragnet prophesy, and the second one, the lost heir. I haven't read the second one yet cause I waiting for the graphic novel.
There are multiple characters I created (that are probably not that good) which are the icewing Sleet, the sandwing Forsake, the skywing Hawk, the mudwing Moss, and the scavengers Dust, Air, and Thorn. I hope I stayed true to character and sorry if the ending seems rushed.
