Prologue

Every since Cole broke her heart two years ago, has kept her heart locked up in a box, taking a step backwards whenever she notices anyone coming closer.

She'd given up on love, on believing that anyone could truly care about her — at least, that's what she told herself.

But somehow, in the middle suffocating in everyone's expectations to the point of numbness, of getting drunk just to feel something again, of singing into a phone and playing video games just to pass the time, she proves herself wrong.
