Olivia Dawson has just lost her parents in a boating accident. As Conservationists, they worked for a large company which sent them to Peru only for them to disappear, forcing her to move the small town of Snow Haven to live with a guardian she has never met. All she has left is a long letter written to her by her parents' telling her to move on, however it only raises more questions for the 17 year old. Her life continues getting stranger as she meets a troubled boy who brings her answers to the doubts already in her head over the innocence of her parents' deaths and she gets caught up in her search, finding out that not all of the people she trusted were out to save the world.
