Embry Owens was the runt of his pack. Son of the Third, constantly teased for his small stature. His mate, future Alpha, Darren Lunarwoods rejected him and allowed him to be beaten day after day, for a week, after mating with Embry on his birthday. Eventually, Embry managed to gather his courage and leave the pack. Now 4 years later Embry is an artist in NYC, he has a new pack and living with his new best friend Katerina, his boyfriend Beta of the Eclipse Lake Pack Mac Newport and his and Darren's 3 year old son Joey. But, when Embry's parents calls after years of searching for their child, begging him to come just for a visit. Embry hesitates but agrees to come back to Oregon, he doesn't tell his parents he's bringing his boyfriend, roommate, and his son. What he doesn't expect his old packs reaction to his homecoming and he certainly doesn't expect Darren's reaction to his homecoming. But he's not the same runt he was 4 years ago.
