During the summer following his junior year of high school, seventeen year old Adam knows he is on the brink of a different kind of life when he falls from a tree after seeing his new next door neighbor, Hannah, for the first time. Hannah is sent to live with her eclectic aunt after her entire family dies in a small plane crash outside a village in South America. At first her goal is simple: move on with her family, but goals change and ideas shift when Adam shows her it's okay to hurt and it's okay to move on.
