Afraid

I step closer to her, she scoots back three times. I step closer again, she scoots back. Is she afraid of me?

"Why are you moving away from me?"

She hesitates to answer me. I see her body is shaking. Her nose is sweating. She curled up into a ball against the wall. She finally answers me. But it's an answer I never thought I would hear in my life.

"Because I'm afraid of you."
